Dr. Matthew Pitkin

I'm formerly a Lecturer in the Observational Astrophysics research group in the Physics Department at Lancaster University and am an Honourary Research Fellow in the Institute for Gravitational Research in the School of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Glasgow. My research primarily involves searching for gravitational waves from rapidly rotating neutron stars, or pulsars. I am a member of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration (LSC), which operates the LIGO and GEO600 gravitational wave detectors.
