Dr. Matthew Pitkin

I am currently working as an Audio Algorithm Researcher at CEDAR Audio Ltd, in Cambridge (UK), where I am primarily involved in research and development related to audio noise supression.
Previously, I worked as a Lecturer in the Observational Astrophysics research group in the Physics Department at Lancaster University. I am an Honourary Research Fellow in the Institute for Gravitational Research in the School of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Glasgow. My academic research primarily involves searching for gravitational waves from rapidly rotating neutron stars, or pulsars. I am a member of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration (LSC), which operates the LIGO and GEO600 gravitational wave detectors.
